Macon’s first apartments and the first use of a mansard roof in America. The roof covered with slate in fish-scale design housed the artisans employed during the construction of the Johnston-Hay House. Slate Row Books documents it’s history and offers our patrons a chance to visit and witness the beauty of Macon’s Slate Row Houses.
